Only two percent of professionals in STEM are Latina. Industry Latina mentors provide a direct line of experience to Latina students.
Mentorship needs to start in high school to increase enrollment and completion of college. And a college Latina student needs someone like her to ask questions. It helps her make challenging academic decisions, including dealing with lifestyle changes with transitioning to college.
